"Desperate for help, the 25-year-old Ed Dufresne sat on the bar stool trying to wash his troubles away with one drink after another. He had done all he knew to do. He had tried everything this world had to offer - but he was still empty inside. He was hurting, desperate and searching. He didn't know where to turn next, and the future seemed to hold only more of what he had already lived. But as he sat on the bar stool that particular Friday night, as Ed's heart cried out, searching for God, it was answered -- there came a sound from heaven! In Acts 2:1, 2 it is recorded, ‘And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all filled with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven.…’ It was a sound from heaven, a voice from heaven, that rang audibly in the ears of Ed Dufresne as he sat on the bar stool. ‘You'll go over all the world and preach the gospel!’ boomed God's voice. Ed had never heard anything like that before! Who was that? Was it God?"
